Job Description Vattenfall is now looking for a Site Conditions Project Manager reporting to the Head of Site & System Design Project Management within Offshore Development in BA Wind and Business Unit Offshore Wind. Overall purpose of the role: The Site & System Design department provides essential data, tools and expertise for comprehensive site interpretation and techno-economic optimization, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the lifecycle of an offshore wind farm. The department consists of 5 different disciplines, namely Metocean, Geoscience, Site & System Design project management, Modelling & Optimisation and System Design. We have interfaces to different areas across the full life cycle of offshore wind projects, from development to O&M and beyond. The Site & System Design project management team is responsible to deliver site conditions information (geoscience, metocean, wind resource & production and GIS) to project teams in the development stage of offshore wind farms (prior to Final Investment Decision). The work includes close collaboration with Technical Project Managers and Package Managers (Foundation, Cables and WTG) to ensure correct information is utilized for decision making, business case evaluation & design of offshore wind structures. Your job: As our Site Conditions Project Manager you will be responsible for connecting the subject matter experts with the projects by taking care of all project management activities concerning our department’s deliveries. Main Responsibilities & Tasks: Management of all site condition assessment work (geoscience, metocean, wind resource & production and GIS) related tasks from a department perspective as one package Being the central point of contact for the Technical Project Manager of our offshore wind projects Coordinating, prioritizing and managing work tasks to the subject matter experts in conjunction with project specific requirements to ensure timely delivery of services and work packages Ensuring stakeholder-, interface-, time-, quality- and risk-management of work packages in relation to project requirements Assist in planning and development of tasks related to geoscience, metocean and wind resource & production related investigations and studies, as well as collaborating with foundation package managers Contribute to levelized energy cost (LEC) reduction Participate in project meetings by proactively promoting the role of Site & System Design Communicate with project and line management on progress and issues Contribute to the overall management and initiatives in the Site & System Design department Act as a role model and take personal responsibility for Health & Safety, safe behaviour and well-being at work Possible office locations are Hamburg, London, Amsterdam, Stockholm & Kolding. Your profile – key criteria to be successful in this role: It is essential that you have experience within geoscience, metocean and/or wind disciplines, AND project management skills – only one of them (technical expertise or project management) will not be sufficient from our experience. You have successfully completed a M.Sc. degree (or higher) in technical (engineering) discipline or equivalent You have already gained profound relevant work experience Most of that experience is stemming from the offshore wind industry Accordingly, your experience lays in the areas of geoscience, metocean and/or wind resource Your technical expertise is being accompanied by experience with project management and large complex projects You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing If you tick the following boxes already – great! If not, you will pick these skills/experience up on the job: Experience working in an international environment. You can advise and help the team based on your knowledge and know-how. You possess excellent personal and communication skills and can communicate technical as well as commercially sensitive topics in a clear and constructive way.
