The Role: We seek a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a deep understanding of international trade, particularly in the Middle East and Asia, combined with substantial financial management expertise. The ideal candidate will drive our financial strategy, optimize our trading operations, and contribute to our overall business growth. Key Responsibilities: • Lead financial initiatives and develop strategies to boost financial health and expand trade operations in the Middle East and Asia. • Manage financial activities encompassing planning, risk management, recordkeeping, and financial reporting. • Analyze financial outcomes related to profits, trends, and costs while ensuring compliance with budgets. • Provide strategic advice to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities. • Ensure robust internal controls are in place and comply with legal regulations for financial and tax reporting in multiple jurisdictions. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, specializing in Accounting, Finance, and Banking from the University of The Punjab, Lahore. • Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management (CSCMP) and Quality Control (CQC). • Over 12 years of experience in finance and international trade, with extensive management exposure in the Middle East and Asia. • Proficient in financial software such as Peachtree and QuickBooks, along with MS Office. • Expertise in handling LCs, SBLCs, and bank guarantees; proficient in managing international trade documentation. Travel Requirements: The ideal candidate must be willing and able to travel regularly to Sweden for workshops and meetings at our headquarters. Additionally, the role requires participating in delegations sent abroad to represent our company. This aspect of the job is crucial for maintaining effective communication and alignment with our core team and for fostering relationships with international partners. Skills: • Proven leadership skills, with a strong focus on team development and collaborative work. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively across diverse cultures. • Highly skilled in project management and multitasking. • Comprehensive understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking. Languages: • Bilingual proficiency in English and Urdu. • Elementary proficiency in Arabic. Additional Requirements: Holder of a Dubai international driving license.
